UniQlo X Bearbricks

Am sure many of you fellow Bearbrick lovers are already aware of the Bearbrick tees currently being sold by UniQlo....  First Shanghai...  then Hong Kong just started selling them the last few days... and next month, Malaysia is said to start carrying them...  -- To date: still no word if Taiwan UniQlo will be carrying them... :( -- If you have not, please click here to read more and see photos: UNIQLO X BEARBRICKS.

 

Of course it makes sense to have accompanying Bearbricks to go with the offer....   first off I was only aware of two kinds that was going to be offered by Hong Kong as Premiums, with Tee Shirts purchased...  Right away it caused excitement and a headache for Bearbrick Lovers all over...  myself included...  How to get?  Who to reach out to to help acquire - since it seems to be Hong Kong's Exclusive offering....  

Well, the excitement and headache just multiplied as recent posting of the Premium Program Flyer surfaced - not only two but 9, yes 9 Bearbricks will be offered for redemption... and the way it works is that: for every 3 tees purchased - you are entitled to redeem one of the BBs... waaaaaah....

  

 

I think for most the problem does not lie as to whether or not to purchase enough to get all 9 BBs, but as to how to get them if one lives outside Hong Kong......  HELP!!!

Finally picked up this set...  Not really sure why I passed up before..  It's not that they are not cute..  They actually are a nice pair...  I  think it is because I was not particularly thrilled with the movie..  LOL!

I came across the set again recently - and this time around, no escaping..  Broke down and got them... And am the Happier for it.,. :)

KAWS & Effects!!!

yep...  am hooked on these KAWS guys....  am not able to RESIST when I see them....  you would think that these shy little guys would be limited when it comes to photographing - but they are not...  actually fun to take them around for photo shoots in different places....

Hello Kitty X Carrefour

The French Supermarket in Taiwan has collaborated with Hello Kitty for some truly super cute Hello Kitty & Friends Premium Pieces...  Each one is as cute as the next..  They can all be used as a container of some sort...  

The way it goes is that, one needs to purchase MT$500 (about US$17.00) worth of goods to get a sticker...  8 Stickers = 1 Premium...  So that is a lot of GROCERIES - about US$150.00 worth in order to get one....   Another option, for fast collecting you can collect 2 stickers plus NT$69 (a little over US$2) - you can already redeem 1 of the cuties....  The program offering runs till the 30th of July....

 

As an added BONUS:  a Displayer is also offered - makes for a nice display if you are a Hello Kitty fanatic...  Good thing am not... hahahahahahahaha....

So far, I have this Keroppi one - sadly, I do not think I will be able to redeem anymore as I do not frequent Carrefour to begin with...

 

LOVE Alexander Girard!!!

Trying to get my addiction to Alexander Girard BBs with what I can...  Since I came into the BB collecting scene a bit late, I have missed out on a few things...  Okay, a lot of things...  Some of them that I truly wish to acquire are the Alexander Girard designed ones!!!

 I was trying to avoid the 200% versions - as I want to stick with the 100% ones mostly...  Only had the International Love Heart one, the most popular Girard one, and was good at avoiding others issued in this form...

That is until I came across this Love one...  The 2nd Chekogin, as the 200% are called...  Nice and Simple - completely, Girard - just had to break down and get it!!!    Just makes sense to do so, right?  Right!

Stumbled upon a couple more KAWS...  This is the design combo I like so I broke down, even though I try to stay away from anything but 100%...

These little guys are 70%...  Never removed from their packages - so quite mint!   Of corse they had to come out right away - or no Fun at all!!!

For sooooo long I have wanted to get one of these so hard to get KAWS collaboration ones...  And today, I finally have one in my hands...  

And for this, am having a Truly Wonderful Wednesday!
