Spotlight on Shaun The Sheep

With 2015 being the Year of the Sheep, Shaun The sheep seems to be taking center stage here in Taiwan.

Coinciding with the movie's release around Chinese New Year, McDonalds offers a few Shaun The Sheep toy in their latest Happy Meal Premium Program.  

I for one is excited over this....  And yes, I will be trying to get them all!

More Adventure Time!

Taiwan's Hi*Life is running a new Premium Program thru the 8th of April featuring the lovable duo of Jake and Finn!!!  This shows just how much the Cartoon Network Series has caught on in Taiwan.  Hi*Life is offering 4 cute tin can banks - 3 regular ones (pictured) and one Special Secret Design.   They are cuuuuute and the size of a soda can so they do not take up much space...  you guessed it, am collecting them!!!

They way it works is that you buy 2 cups of coffee at a time and you get 2 stickers... 10 stickers can redeem one premium...  fast track: 3 stickers plus NT$49, a little less than US$2.00 can also redeem for one...  Works for me as I usually get coffee at least once each day - and Hi*Life is the closest convenience store from us!!!

Early in March they will also introduced other Finn and Jake items for redemption... Plush Shoes and Travel Neck brace from what I have seen....  not sure if I will get those.... But they just might be great addition to my Jake beanie... :)

Adventure Time

 

Yes...  I did FINALLY break down and get these two....  been seeing them at Toys R Us each time but been resisting temptation....  I really do not need more new collection...  but this last visit, I broke down...  at least for these two...  and just in time as the collection are basically all SOLD OUT!!!

 

So how do I find them?   Well, am on the fence....  I love that they have a few articulations on them - but am not too happy with the bendy arms....  not much you can do with them....  Still, they are fun enough to add to one's collection....  especially if you are already a fan of the show!

Amuroch X Chapter X Be@rbrick

Recent acquisition is this really  cool, and quite cute, Amuroch  Bea@rbrick..  It is a collaborative character between the very popular MTV Japan animation series Usavich and personL fave, Japanese singer and dancer Namie Amuro. 

The Be@rbrick was sold in collaboration with Japanese retailer Chapter World and could be purchased with a Mini Tote Bag or a T-shirt.  You can choose either one, just do not pass up on this Cutie!

I normally stay away from the Kubrick toys by Medicom.... Never found the desire to collect them... Have even passed up on a few cute Bearbricks as they come as a pair set with a Kubrick.

But I could not resist this UP set.. Carl is just way too cute and expressive..

The movie came out in 2009 and was an instant hit... The Medicom Toy set offering soon after...

CARE BEARS X Be@rbrick

The current Family Mart Promo I stumbled upon has me wishing for these Care Bear cuties.....
